Before he took the Bach Flowers mix, my dog didn't dare to leave his crate for 7 weeks. I had to put his food bowl in with him or he wouldn't eat at all.
He would only come out when I let him out to do his business. Then he would sprint inside to his safe place. He was anxious and tense all the time.
He's had the drops for two weeks now and he has improved a great deal. After just one week, when I let him out to relieve himself, I closed his crate and put his pillow beside it. When he came back inside he panicked for a short period, but lay down on his pillow again. After three days I put his pillow in a basket and that has also worked out fine, then I kept moving the basket away from the crate.
Now he sits in the middle of the room in his basket for an entire day. Most of the time he's sleeping. Only when I get up and start walking around the room is he no longer at ease, but he doesn't panic.
I keep moving his food bowl away from the basket too, so he has to get out to eat. This also works. He doesn't dare to eat when I'm in the room, but that will improve.
I can't touch him yet. He is very scared of my hands. When I approach him, he curls up his lip. Not because he's aggressive, but out of fear. I'll have to be patient before he will trust me and I can touch him. But that will improve.
I'm grateful and I'm very happy I've followed up on the advice given to use Bach Flowers.
